Your First Axe Throwing Visit: What to Expect
Never thrown an axe before? Good. Most people don’t exactly grow up practicing bullseyes in the backyard.
Your first visit to Fort Worth Axe Factory is built for beginners. A trained AXEpert teaches your group the basics, helps everyone get comfortable, and gets you ready for interactive games. No prior experience—and no flannel shirt—is required.
Start with coaching
Before the competition starts, your group gets hands-on instruction. You’ll learn the throwing motion, where to stand, and how to make adjustments. If the axe doesn’t stick on the first try, that is completely normal. Tiny changes can make a big difference.
Then the friendly competition begins
Once everyone has the basics, it is time to keep score, cheer for bullseyes, and discover who takes bragging rights far too seriously. The games keep the whole group involved, whether you came with friends, family, coworkers, or a date.
Wear something comfortable
Choose clothes that let you move your arms comfortably and closed-toe shoes that feel secure. You are here to throw, not audition for a lumberjack calendar—unless that is your thing.
