What to Wear Axe Throwing in Fort Worth: Shoes, Clothes & Extras

You don’t need special gear to try axe throwing, but a few clothing choices make the experience more comfortable. The most important one at Fort Worth Axe Factory is closed-toe shoes. Our waiver asks guests to wear them, so leave sandals and open-toe shoes at home.

Choose clothes that let your shoulders and arms move freely. A comfortable T-shirt, jeans, or other everyday clothes work well. Avoid oversized sleeves, dangling jewelry, or anything that could swing into your throwing motion, and tie back long hair.

You’ll be standing and taking turns, so wear shoes you can comfortably stand in. Keep your phone, keys, and other loose items secured while you throw. If you’re coming straight from work, there’s no need to dress up—just wear something you can move in safely.

For mobile events, dress for the venue and weather. Our trailers are set up outdoors at many events, so check the forecast and bring a layer or sun protection when it makes sense. We’ll talk through the event space and setup with the host ahead of time.

Have a question about a shoe or outfit? Check with us before your reservation. Then show up ready to learn, listen to your coach, and enjoy the throws.
